In 2010 NUCLEO concluded a cooperative agreement with LUCA Arts Ghent for the use of a number of workplaces. Now, as a NUCLEO tenant, you are able to make use of the school’s production studios as long as they and the supervisor are available. The workplaces concerned are for audio, wood, metal, casting, photography, glass printmaking, ceramics, textiles and silkscreen printing.
Use of these facilities is free, but the materials and energy consumption must be paid for. For an application to make use of this, contact Marjoleine.
You will find an example of the contract for use of the production studios here.
In our Lindenlei-building, we have 700 m² of project space and a space that can be used for test set-ups or as a photo studio. The space can only be rented as a whole. Both you and third parties may make use of these spaces. You pay a small fee for this, which is laid down in a contract and increases depending on the duration of use.
The space has been rented until the end of 2019.Temporarily, we'll not handle any new requests.
Together with many other players in Ghent’s cultural sector, NUCLEO has underwritten the declaration of commitment drawn up by Greentrack, the transitional network for the arts in Ghent. We signed the Greentrack charter and drew up an action plan. This stipulates that we are aware of ecological concerns in every aspect of our work, that we make our resident artists aware of engaging in this, and carry out specific changes in the area of energy-saving in our buildings. These points are an inherent part of our operations.
