Artists’ studios are rarely accessible to the general public, but a visit to a studio gives you the opportunity to look at things through the artist’s eyes. For this 11th edition of NUCLEO’s Open Studios, more than 150 artists open their studio to the audience, on 7 locations in Ghent.
Special about this edition is that for each building we asked an 'explorer' to visit the studios in advance, and report about their experiences during the Open Studios.
10:00 — We start the day in BEGIJNHOF with Iraqi artist Haider Jabbar.
11:00 — Illustrator and musician Sarah Yu Zeebroek takes the audience through the LEOPOLDSKAZERNE.
14:00 — Theatre maker Pascale Platel tells a story in VILLA DE WAL about the Villa and its inhabitants.
15:00 — Art reporter Hilde van Canneyt reports in the PREDIKHERENLEI.
16:00 — Musician An Pierlé sings about the LINDENLEI.
17:00 — Critic Wouter Hillaert analyses the PADDENHOEK
18:00 — The team of experimental art centre Croxhapox has asked guest artist William Ludwig Lutgens to respond to objects from the studios in VEEARTSENIJSCHOOL.

Information about the artists and the buildings is brought together in a practical folder with a map, available on all locations.
At the Info point in the Veeartsenijschool there are free bicycles available, so you can easily reach other locations in the centre.
Also, a free shuttle bus takes you from Veeartsenijschool to Villa de Wal in Wondelgem, a villa with studios in the park Domein Vyncke-Bovyn.
On 3 locations there is a bar (Begijnhof – Veeartsenijschool – Lindenlei).
